Care for Paul, 92: help cover a carer and medication in Hamilton
Help Paul stay in his own home with four months of part-time care.
🇨🇦 Canada653 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 92. After a stroke last July Paul can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Paul desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Paul worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $4,700 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $3,500
• Medication and prescriptions: $410
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $250
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $540
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
