Care for Megan, 90: help cover a carer and medication in Birmingham
Megan, 90, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $4,150 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 90. After a heart attack Megan can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Megan desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Megan worked all of her life as a farmer, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,150 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $3,000
• Medication and prescriptions: $390
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $280
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $480
With deep gratitude,
Aiden

Wishing you the best, Aiden. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Thanks for sharing this, Aiden. I hope things turn around soon
Shared it with a few friends. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Birmingham.
Hang in there, Aiden. Looking forward to the next update. I'll check back for the next update.
Stay strong. Hope this works out for you. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Johannesburg.
You're not alone. Your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
Rooting for you, Aiden. Hope the doctors have good news. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
take care, Aiden. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
