Care for Mai, 82: help cover a carer and medication in Tokyo
Mai can't afford the care She needs after worsening Parkinson's disease; we're asking for $2,500.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 82. After worsening Parkinson's disease Mai can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mai desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Mai worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $210
• Part-time carer (six months): $2,000
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $290
Thank you so much.
Updates from Asuka
Thank you all. We're at 17% now ($422). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward mobility aids and bathroom adaptations.
