Care for Lawrence, 86: help cover a carer and medication in San Diego
Lawrence, 86, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $3,600 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 86. After worsening Parkinson's disease Lawrence can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Lawrence desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Lawrence worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $2,200
• Medication and prescriptions: $420
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $490
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $490
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Toronto
