Care for Kofi, 84: help cover a carer and medication in Tema
Kofi, 84, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $550 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 84. After a diagnosis of dementia Kofi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Kofi desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Kofi worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $550 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $350
• Medication and prescriptions: $70
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $80
