Care for Joy, 75: help cover a carer and medication in Lagos
Joy can't afford the care She needs after a stroke last February; we're asking for $250.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 75. After a stroke last February Joy can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Joy desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Joy worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $250 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $100
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $100
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
With deep gratitude,
Olumide
