Care for Ifeanyi, 83: help cover a carer and medication in Lagos
Help Ifeanyi stay in his own home with three months of part-time care.
🇳🇬 Nigeria414 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 83. After a heart attack Ifeanyi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ifeanyi desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Ifeanyi worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $550 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $450
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $40
• Medication and prescriptions: $60
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Wishing Ifeanyi a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
wishing Ifeanyi a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
wishing you the best. Hope you get there. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this, Jide. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
