Barasa needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade - help us make it happen
Help Barasa get a cochlear implant processor upgrade so He can attend work interviews.

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Likoni Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $850 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $750
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
• Delivery and set-up: $35
• First-year servicing plan: $35
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Good luck. Hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Lagos so I could bring a meal. All the best
Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Likoni.
So sorry you're going through this, Barasa. Shared this with my family. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Cambridge.
so sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best
