Back to business - Subramanian's comeback in Ahmedabad
Subramanian lost a full set of tools to the demolition of the market and needs $550 to reopen a bicycle repair shop and support the family.

For nine years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Ahmedabad. In January, the demolition of the market took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Initial stock: spare parts: $100
• Replacing a full set of tools: $350
• Working capital for the first month: $100
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
