Back to business - Maya's comeback in Huntsville

Maya has run a barbershop for three years; the demolition of the market destroyed the equipment, and $2,750 will put it back on its feet.

Huntsville
For three years I have run a barbershop in Huntsville. In February, the demolition of the market took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $2,750 goes: • Working capital for the first month: $520 • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $1,450 • Initial stock: supplies: $780 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  2. Small update. $1,093 so far, I made the first payment toward initial stock: supplies.

  3. Update from Huntsville: I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. We're at 12% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
