Back to business - Ioannis's comeback in Thessaloniki
Ioannis has run a small grocery stall for three years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $2,500 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a small grocery stall in Thessaloniki. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $1,500
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $470
• Shop repairs and licensing: $380
• Working capital for the first month: $150
Thanks for reading all this.

hang in there. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Malmö.
Sending good thoughts, Ioannis. Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
