Back on our feet: Hitesh and four children in Aurangabad
After the death of my husband, Hitesh is raising four children alone and needs $650 to stay afloat for 3 months.

After the death of my husband in November, I'm now raising four children on my own. I work as a hairdresser, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a pharmacy technician in the evenings, which will triple my income by March, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $650 goes:
• Childcare and after-school care: $180
• Groceries and school meals: $150
• Rent top-up: $320
Thank you for reading my story.

Hang in there, Hitesh. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. After 11 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything
