I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at Tampa General Hospital has assessed me and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,650.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.

• adapted tricycle: $7,750
• Fitting and training sessions: $350
• Delivery and set-up: $190
• First-year servicing plan: $360

You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
