Atlanta flood relief - the families of Eastgate Lane
Neighbors in the families of Eastgate Lane are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flood hit the families of Eastgate Lane on 23 November. My home was one of 57 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $8,900 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $4,100
• Clean water and purification supplies: $740
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,550
• Food parcels for displaced families: $830
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,680

Sending strength, Nova. Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
thanks for sharing this, Nova. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Bangkok but we're thinking of you. All the best
Sending love, Nova. Shared it with a few friends. God bless
stay strong. More neighborhoods should do this. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out.
