Andreas lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Berlin General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,700.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Andreas could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

• First-year servicing plan: $150
