Andile wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Andile, 83, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,050 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 83. After a heart attack Andile can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Andile desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Andile worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $750
• Medication and prescriptions: $125
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $125
