An adapted tricycle for Shivam: help Shivam move freely
Help Shivam get an adapted tricycle so He can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
🇺🇸 United States1,296 views
Shivam lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Hialeah Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,200.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Shivam could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $5,200 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $4,450
• Fitting and training sessions: $250
• Delivery and set-up: $70
• First-year servicing plan: $430
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
