For three years I have run a barbershop in Nairobi. In March, floodwater took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $400 goes: • Working capital for the first month: $90 • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $210 • Shop repairs and licensing: $100 Glad we found this place.

Sending strength. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless

    • take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.

      • thinking of you, Akoth. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Nairobi
