For six years I have run a barbershop in Johannesburg. In June, a long illness and repossession took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $1,200 goes: • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $760 • Initial stock: supplies: $180 • Shop repairs and licensing: $125 • Working capital for the first month: $135 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Aisha

Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors is $760 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for looking so closely.
