A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Ikeja
Volunteers in Ikeja are raising $350 for a covered market stall space at Acacia Park.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 427 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $250
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Permits and inspections: $60
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
