Adrian needs clippers, chairs and mirrors to reopen a barbershop

Adrian has run a barbershop for fifteen years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $3,250 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a barbershop in Newcastle. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $3,250 goes: • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $2,000 • Initial stock: supplies: $680 • Shop repairs and licensing: $350 • Working capital for the first month: $220 Thanks for being kind about this.

hope it all works out, Adrian. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Newcastle.

Praying for you. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Makati.
