Acacia Primary School needs a rainwater harvesting system - Seung-woo's neighborhood project
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Acacia Primary School that will serve 561 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,650.
It will serve about 561 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Materials: $1,200
• Permits and inspections: $115
• Safety equipment and signage: $200
• Tools hire and delivery: $135
