For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $700. It will serve about 368 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $700 goes: • Materials: $540 • Permits and inspections: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $75 With deep gratitude, Satish
