Acacia Park needs a community garden - Samantha's neighborhood project
A community-led a community garden at Acacia Park that will serve 361 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 361 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $400
• Permits and inspections: $190
• Materials: $1,760
