A youth football pitch for the Sycamore community hall: help our neighbors in Bandung
Volunteers in Bandung are raising $350 for a youth football pitch at the Sycamore community hall.
🇮🇩 Bandung, West Java, Indonesia1,511 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 437 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $240
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $80
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
