We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $1,650 for materials.

Padua
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Union bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,650. It will serve about 248 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,650 goes: • Materials: $1,100 • Permits and inspections: $125 • Safety equipment and signage: $260 • Tools hire and delivery: $165 With deep gratitude, Roberta
