A playground for the Cedar community hall: help our neighbors in Columbus
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $2,350 for materials.
🇺🇸 United States1,602 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 423 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Materials: $1,750
• Safety equipment and signage: $390
• Tools hire and delivery: $210
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Take care, Todd. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Arlington
Best of luck. More neighborhoods should do this. Wish I lived closer to Port Harcourt so I could bring a meal. God bless.
good luck, Todd. Hope you get there. Don't give up. Thinking of Columbus.
I hope things turn around soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best
