A youth football pitch for the old Jacaranda bus depot: help our neighbors in Los Angeles
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $1,100 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $650, and the remaining cost is $1,100.
It will serve about 461 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $470
• Tools hire and delivery: $520
• Permits and inspections: $110
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
