Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Ibrahim
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Mecca.
🇸🇦 Makkah, Saudi Arabia552 views
Ibrahim has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ibrahim can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ibrahim's family will cook lunch for the team.

Keep going, Iman. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Please keep us posted. Blessings.
Wishing Ibrahim a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Sent it to 38 people at work. God bless.
I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care
Keep going. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Mecca.
Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
