A youth football pitch for Maple Park: help our neighbors in Lahore
A community-led a youth football pitch at Maple Park that will serve 238 neighbors.
🇵🇰 Punjab, Pakistan996 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 238 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Materials: $350
• Permits and inspections: $40
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
