A youth football pitch for Liberty Park: help our neighbors in Orlando
Volunteers in Orlando are raising $2,250 for a youth football pitch at Liberty Park.
🇺🇸 Orlando, Florida, United States1,359 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,250.
It will serve about 379 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Materials: $1,700
• Permits and inspections: $390
• Tools hire and delivery: $160
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
