A weekly visit for Mathilda, 80, who lives alone in Leipzig
Looking for a friendly person in Leipzig to visit Mathilda once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Mathilda, who's 80. Mathilda lives alone in Leipzig, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 409 kilometers away.
Mathilda loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Rooting for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Jinja.
Thanks for sharing this, Manfred. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from San Jose.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too

Good luck, Manfred. Shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together.
