A youth football pitch for Jacaranda Park: help our neighbors in Iași
A community-led a youth football pitch at Jacaranda Park that will serve 549 neighbors.
🇷🇴 Iași, Iași, Romania2,255 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 549 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $850 goes:
• Materials: $530
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $155
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
Every share and every dollar helps.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Marian
Materials is $530 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.
Best of luck, Marian. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings.
