For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $800. It will serve about 380 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $800 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $440 • Permits and inspections: $190 • Tools hire and delivery: $170 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Brooks
