A youth football pitch for Baobab Park: help our neighbors in São Paulo
Volunteers in São Paulo are raising $1,400 for a youth football pitch at Baobab Park.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,400.
It will serve about 585 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Materials: $1,050
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $140
• Tools hire and delivery: $160
