A weekly ride to Thessaloniki Regional Medical Center for Dimitrios

A rota of drivers to Thessaloniki Regional Medical Center would keep Dimitrios on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Dimitrios has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to Thessaloniki Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Dimitrios can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 16 km each way. Dimitrios is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
