A youth football pitch for Acacia Primary School: help our neighbors in Pretoria
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $100 for materials.
🇿🇦 Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa595 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $100.
It will serve about 294 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $100 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
Every share and every dollar helps.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Pretoria!
