A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Biratnagar
Volunteers in Biratnagar are raising $500 for a youth football pitch at Jacaranda Primary School.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $185, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 213 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $25
• Materials: $435
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hang in there, Laxman. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.
Praying for you. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We're a small family in Campinas but we're thinking of you. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Parramatta.
