A weekly visit for Josephine, 84, who lives alone in Swansea

An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Josephine is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Josephine, who's 84. Josephine lives alone in Swansea, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Josephine loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Thank you for reading my story.
