Aubree needs my school-run minibus repaired to get back to work in Los Angeles
Aubree drives for a living in Los Angeles, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 7 weeks.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 7 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $2,150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $1,400
• Labor charges: $280
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $300
• Towing and inspection: $170
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Take care, Aubree. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
Thanks for sharing this, Aubree. Small businesses are the heart of Los Angeles. Hope you're open again soon.
Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 6 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Kinondoni
Hang in there. Small businesses are the heart of Los Angeles. Hope you're open again soon. God bless.
