Ida has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Stockholm Regional Medical Center alone. After an eyesight problem, Ida can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 10 km each way. Ida is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Thanks for being kind about this.

    • Thanks for sharing this, Therese. Wishing Ida a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My husband and I read this together. Blessings.

      • Sending good thoughts, Therese. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
