A weekly ride to Makati Regional Medical Center for Rolando

A rota of drivers to Makati Regional Medical Center would keep Rolando on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Rolando has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to Makati Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Rolando can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 33 km each way. Rolando is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Thank you so much.

rooting for you. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.

    • Wishing Rolando a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best!

      • Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Tampa.

        • Sending love, Remedios. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick
