Mason has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to El Paso Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Mason can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 22 km each way. Mason is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Glad we found this place.

Sending good thoughts, Maya. Your post was clear and honest. After 13 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
