The gas account is 2 months behind. Mwende received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless $150 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair. Mwende called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available. The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
