Mariam has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to Boulogne-Billancourt Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Mariam can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 22 km each way. Mariam is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Take care, Ndeye. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My neighbor in Berlin donated after I showed her your page

    • You're not alone. Wishing Mariam a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Boulogne-Billancourt!

      • Sending strength, Ndeye. This could happen to any of us. All the best.

        • rooting for you. Shared it with a few friends. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
