After a stroke, I have been mostly housebound for 12 weeks. My family live far away, and the days can feel very long. I'm not looking for therapy - I've that covered - but for conversation. I'm hoping for someone who can call for about 30 minutes once a week whenever suits us both. I like history, chess and quiz shows, and can listen to anything. This can be from anywhere in the world as long as you speak English. We can arrange the calls through the platform, with email shared only when we're both comfortable. Thanks for even thinking about it. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Hope things get better soon, Doris. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from London.

    • Take care. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best!

      • Thinking of you and your family. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out.

take care. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't give up.

          • Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. We're a small family in Manchester but we're thinking of you. All the best.
