Dayton
Kimberly was diagnosed with colon cancer in July. The oncology team at Dayton University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Kimberly is 43, worked as a taxi driver until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dayton University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $9,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,250 • Scans and lab work: $1,900 • Transport to Dayton University Hospital: $740 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $670 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,240 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Brian

Updates from Brian

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 31% funded and the plan for transport to Dayton University Hospital is now scheduled.

  2. Update from Dayton: I made the first payment toward nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team. We're at 17% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  3. Quick update: $1,176 raised so far (12%). I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
