A stair-climbing aid for Hailey: help Hailey move freely
A stair-climbing aid would give Hailey independence - we're $7,550 away.
🇺🇸 Texas, United States1,433 views
Hailey lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Corpus Christi Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,550.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Hailey could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $7,550 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $6,750
• Fitting and training sessions: $250
• Delivery and set-up: $150
• First-year servicing plan: $400
With deep gratitude,
Riley
