Madina
I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Madina Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $950. My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $950 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $830 • Fitting and training sessions: $35 • Delivery and set-up: $25 • First-year servicing plan: $60 Thank you for reading my story. - Emmanuel

  • Sending good thoughts, Emmanuel. This could happen to any of us. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings

    • Praying for you, Emmanuel. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Madina.

      • hope the doctors have good news. Greetings from Pune.
