Víctor lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Veracruz General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,000.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Víctor could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• specialist standing frame: $1,700
• Fitting and training sessions: $135
• Delivery and set-up: $50
• First-year servicing plan: $115
